What It Is
Whether you want to insure your car, your house, your boat or any other personal property, NYSUT Member Benefits Trust endorses personal property and liability coverage through MetLife Auto & Home, which offers special group rates not available to individual MetLife policyholders.

MetLife Auto & Home is a NYSUT Member Benefits Trust (Member Benefits)-endorsed program. Member Benefits has an expense reimbursement/endorsement arrangement of 5.5% of total premiums for this program. All such payments to Member Benefits are used solely to defray the costs of administering its various programs and, where appropriate, to enhance them. Member Benefits acts as your advocate; please contact Member Benefits at (800) 626-8101 if you experience a problem with any endorsed program.
Agency fee payers to NYSUT are eligible to participate in NYSUT Member Benefits Trust-endorsed programs.

Features
Personal property insurance policies include:
- Automobile – Select liability coverage limits for bodily injury and property damage, as well as a deductible that fits your budget. Roadside Assistance is available 24 hours, 7 days a week. A Guaranteed Repair program is included. Also included at no additional premium is an identity theft resolution service, ID Theft 911, to provide assistance should you become an identity theft victim. Discounts are available for multiple cars, multiple policies, anti-theft and safety devices, and payroll or pension deduction (availability and amount of payroll/pension deduction discount vary by state).
- Homeowner's/Renter's/Condominium/Co-op – Protect your dwelling and its contents, and get coverage for personal liability, replacement cost, worldwide theft of personal property and loss assessment. A Guaranteed Repair program is included. Also included with homeowner's, condominium owners, mobile home (NY only) and renter's policies at no additional premium is an identity theft resolution service, ID Theft 911, to provide assistance should you become an identity theft victim. Discounts are available for new homes, security systems, mature homeowners and multiple policies.
- Boatowner's – Select coverage for your boat and boating equipment, unattached equipment and accessories, and emergency services, as well as medical payments, liability and personal property coverage. Discounts are available for completion of a safety program, safety devices, diesel fuel and multiple policies.
- Personal Excess Liability (Umbrella) – An economical and convenient way to arrange additional "catastrophic" limits of personal liability coverage over and above those provided under MetLife Auto & Home auto, home and boatowner policies. Coverage limits of $500,000, $1 million or $2 million are available.
- Other personal property insurance policies available include Mobile Home, Snowmobile, Motorcycle, Fire, Landlord's Rental Dwelling and Recreational Vehicle.
MetLife Auto & Home offers no-obligation rate quotation and customer service Monday through Saturday, and claim reporting service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You may also be eligible for a variety of policy discounts, depending on where you live.
Payment Options
Convenient payment options include:
- payroll and pension deduction (where available)
- monthly deductions from your checking account
- direct billing
- mortgage-lender billing for homeowners insurance
Direct bill installment payments include a small service charge.
