Consumer Price Index - November 2006
The United States City Average Consumer Price Index (CPI) for November 2006 was 201.5 — representing an increase of 2.0 percent over the index for November 2005.
The New York-Northern New Jersey Area Consumer Price Index for November 2006 was 220.9 — representing an increase of 2.6 percent over the index for November 2005.
The December CPI will be available January 18, 2007.
Future projections of the CPI by businesses and economic organizations are found on page 3 of the document. CPI increases are projected at 3.3 percent for 2006 and 2.1 percent in 2007.
