State Ed releases test specifications for new mathematics Regents exams
The State Education Department (SED) has released information on the test specifications for the Integrated Algebra Regents exam (first administration June 2008), the Geometry Regents exam (first administration June 2009), and the Algebra 2/Trig Regents exam (first administration June 2010). Test specifications detail the number of overall questions, the number of multiple choice questions, number of open-ended questions, along with the percentage of the test devoted to each content strand.
Please note the following:
- Graphing calculators are required for all new mathematics Regents examinations.
- The open-ended questions for Integrated Algebra are worth 2, 3, or 4 points.
- The open-ended questions for Geometry and Algebra 2/Trig are worth 2, 4, or 6 points.
