Community College Base Aid Increases to $2,675
Average State Share for Community Colleges Increases to 30.8%

In January 2007, Governor Spitzer proposed increasing Base Aid for community colleges from $2,525 to $2,625 per full-time equivalent (FTE), an increase of $100 per FTE. In the final budget agreement adopted by the Legislature and signed by the Governor, the Legislature agreed to the Governor's proposed $100 per FTE increase and added another $50 per FTE, resulting in a total increase of $150 per FTE, from $2,525 per FTE to $2,675 per FTE.
