State Ed seeks public comment on proposed IDEA regulations
The State Education Department has released proposed regulations to implement Chapter 378 of the NYS Laws of 2007, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act of 2004 (IDEA 2004) and the final federal regulations to implement IDEA 2004.
Public comment on the proposed regulations will be accepted until April 7, 2008. In addition to providing written comment on the proposed regulations by mail or fax, individuals can also provide comment at three scheduled public hearings.
