State Ed offers new Civics Education Toolkit
The State Education Department has posted a new online resource: The Civics Education Toolkit.
The toolkit promotes a standards-based, interdisciplinary focus for civics education. It includes a crosswalk that describes the infusion of civics throughout the New York State Learning Standards. There is a FAQ about civics education and strategies and online resources for strengthening civics education in schools. A history of Law Day is also included.
