The State Education Dept. has posted the January 2009 Regents exam schedule that runs from Tuesday, January 27 to Friday, January 30, 2009. The schedule was constructed to ensure that the least number of students have testing overlaps. Special attention was given to students with disabilities and English language learners. The English Regents exam and the social studies exams, exams which contain extensive writing components, have been scheduled on separate days.

To meet the needs of students with Individual Education Programs or Section 504 accommodations who will be taking the Regents Competency Tests and a Regents exam on the same day, a district may reschedule the RCT for those students. The RCT can be administered on the next available school day during the examination period on which the students do not have a scheduled exam.
