As we reach the mid way point of the 2008-2009 school year , we hope that you and your students have enjoyed and continue a productive and successful year. The Executive Board of the AFT/NYS Latino Caucus would like to extend a heartfelt 'thanks' for all the work you do for the young minds of New York state.

The AFT/NYS Latino Caucus is an educational caucus made up of New York City and state educators that advocates for excellence in education and opportunities for students, especially those of Latino/Hispanic heritage.

The application for our AFT/NYS Latino Caucus 2008-2009 Scholarships is now available. Please download the file linked below and duplicate and distribute to eligible students in your school. The application postmark deadline is Friday, May 1, 2009. We look forward to a big response and to continue working with you in the name of providing educational opportunities for the students of New York State.
