The State Education Department has issued a request for proposals for competitive grant awards funded through NCLB Title II Part D - Enhancing Education through Technology. Eligible applicants must be either a "high-need local educational agency" or an "eligible local partnership."

The primary focus of the program is to improve students' academic performance through effective use of technology in the core subjects of English language arts, mathematics, and science as well as technology literacy through theme-oriented and evidence-based programs. The grant award period will span three years beginning on July 1, 2009 and ending June 30, 2012. Applications must be postmarked by May 1, 2009.
