SED posts information on June 2008 Earth Science Part D
The State Education Department has posted information on the new version of the Physical Setting/Earth Science Performance Test Part D and the materials list for the June 2008 Regents exam. Part D is administered during the last two weeks of the course, but no later than the day before the written test.
Part D consists of four stations where students are given nine minutes to complete the performance task plus additional time to move between stations. Information about the new version, topics covered at the stations and necessary materials can be found at the SED web site.
The memo also includes information about eight teacher training sessions statewide in September and October at seven regional sites. The teachers trained at these sessions will serve as turnkey trainers for Earth Science teachers in their respective regions.
