The face of civil rights is on NYSUT poster
A picture of civil rights pioneer Rosa Parks adorns a NYSUT poster created for Black History Month. The poster is designed to be used as a year-round classroom resource, featuring Parks with photos of NYSUT leaders and members in the civil rights movement.
Parks, who died in 2005, became famous for her courage in refusing to surrender her seat to a white passenger on a segregated bus in Montgomery, Ala., in 1955.
Any NYSUT member may order one free copy of the poster. NYSUT local presidents may request posters in bulk. Shipping and handling charges will apply and be calculated for you before the order is filled.
To order a poster, send an e-mail to orders@nysutmail.org. Please provide your name and address and reference Project No. 514C.
