Brian E. Harris Jr.
Brian Harris, 31, a member of the Greece Teachers Association, died Oct. 17. Brian was a health teacher at Arcadia, Odyssey and Olympia high schools and completed his student teaching in the district. He served as a union representative at the high school level and as a student council adviser. A role model for community involvement at all levels, Brian had the ability to touch the lives of his students and colleagues in profound ways. Survivors include his wife, Meagan; daughter Maura; parents Brian and Sandra; and other family members, students, teachers and staff in the Greece Central Schools who hold him in their hearts.
Alan Fischer
Alan Fischer, a member of the United Federation of Teachers, died recently at the age of 55. An assistant teacher at United Cerebral Palsy in Brooklyn for more than 10 years, he was instrumental in organizing UCP into the UFT. Alan's union activity was one of his primary interests. His enthusiasm and contagious smile made him friends wherever he went. He is survived by his wife, Laura; a daughter, Rachel; and a sister, Joyce.
