New brochure offers tips for parents

partnership for success brochureJust in time for parent-teacher conferences, NYSUT has created a Partnership for Success publication, "Tips for Parents of School-Age Children," which supports the home-and-school connection.

This tri-fold brochure offers easy-to-implement ideas for parents to enhance their children's school experience.

The age-appropriate tips, which cover academic, social and technology concerns, are divided for easy reference into: kindergarten to grade 4, middle school, high school and special education/students with disabilities.

The brochure received an enthusiastic reception from parents visiting NYSUT's booth at the New York State Fair in Syracuse this summer.

NYSUT's Communications Department offers many other brochures and giveaway items that members can distribute to parents at conferences and other similar events.

Some brochures are offered in English and Spanish.

Items are free except where noted. Watch http://www.nysut.org for new publications in development.

To request an order form, call (800) 342-9810, ext. 6260, or e-mail orders@nysutmail.org.

Members can order up to 100 copies of each brochure. Local union presidents must place any orders for more than 100 copies of any single item.
Allow 6 to 8 weeks for delivery.
