This is the final print issue of New York Teacher for the current publishing year, but you can keep abreast of news important to NYSUT members throughout the summer at www.nysut.org.
During the publishing hiatus, Communications staff will be working on news and feature assignments for the upcoming publishing year and posting news items on the Web site.With other NYSUT employees, staff will take part in the many summer conferences and training sessions, including the New Local Presidents Conference, Local Action Project, regional leadership conferences and activities of NYSUT's national affiliates, the American Federation of Teachers and National Education Association.
NYSUT offices will be closed Friday, July 3; the week of July 27-31 (a common vacation period for all NYSUT employees); Friday, Sept. 4; and Monday, Sept. 7.
During the July 27-31 shutdown, a manager will be on call at NYSUT headquarters to respond to member needs at 800-342-9810.
