Helping children with cancer return to school

A member of United University Professions, Trezza founded the School Re-entry Program at Stony Brook, which will be featured at a Nov. 6 conference, 'Educating the Educators,' on helping children with cancer return to school. The free, daylong conference will be held at the Wang Center at Stony Brook University. For teachers, nurses, counselors, social workers, psychologists and physical therapists, the conference will include an overview of common children's cancers and side effects of treatment, as well as emerging technology and possible applications of distance learning.
To register, include your name, school district, position or title and address along with phone and e-mail information and a $20 check (refunded at check-in) payable to the Stony Brook Foundation.
