More than 600 delegates at the New York State Teachers' Retirement System annual meeting unanimously re-elected Sheila Salenger to another term as one of three teacher-members on the TRS board. Attendees at last month's meeting — delegates, alternates and visitors representing school districts and other TRS participating employers — participated in seminars at the Saratoga Springs City Center to keep them apprised of TRS activities and the retirement-related resources offered to members.

Salenger, a Wappingers Falls teacher, represents in-service members on the board. She chairs the board's Legislation Committee. She also serves on its executive, disability review, finance, proxy, and rules and regulations committees.

Board President Joseph P. McLaughlin of Harrison and Michael R. Corn of Barneveld are the other teacher-members. McLaughlin will be up for re-election next year.
