A health care professional for 30 years, Cora Shillingford demonstrates excellence in her practice as a home care nurse. Shillingford, a member of the United Federation of Teachers, serves as chapter leader of the Visiting Nurse Service of New York, representing more than 2,500 registered nurses in New York City and Long Island. She is this year's Health Care Professionals Member of the Year.
