Tale of the tape

There's a lot of numbers when it comes to the 36th annual convention. This year 2,242 delegates, 88 non-voting alternates and 657 visitors helped to fill the coffers for the Central Islip Concert Choir to the tune of $6,500. Above are a few of the delegates who contributed.

Drawn to the occasion

Phyllis Brown is a believer in arts in education. She expressed that creatively at RA sessions, sketching the speakers — Joseph Lowery, Randi Weingarten, Dick Iannuzzi, David Paterson, inset, and more. Brown is the former president of the 75-member North Warren TA in the Adirondacks.

Higher education leaders at UUP, led by President Phil Smith in the center, met with some of those who are working hard to represent those certified professionals who work at New York state parks.
