Marna Davidson
NYSUT's Retiree Member of the Year, Marna Davidson, is a member of the UFT's Retiree Council 2. She has been an active union leader and activist for 42 years. During that time, she served as a chapter leader for nearly 25 years, and as a NYSUT and AFT convention delegate for over 30 years. Davidson has been the UFT Florida office's coordinator of sections and services for the last 14 years, ensuring that members receive important information on issues ranging from health, pension and union concerns, to educational and cultural activities. Davidson was nominated by UFT President Randi Weingarten and Tom Pappas, head of the UFT's Retired Teachers Chapter.
Alvin Graham
Retiree Member of the Year Alvin Graham is a retired member of the Mamaroneck Teachers Association and an executive committee member of Retiree Council 15-16. As one of NYSUT's original retiree organizers, Graham helped shape the current NYSUT retiree structure. An active unionist for half a century, he is a staunch supporter of NYSUT's political action program and a tireless advocate for public education. Graham was nominated by Ruth Dworkin, president of NYSUT Retiree Council 15-16.
