The New York State Theatre Institute in Troy welcomes educators to a free evening of live theater, camaraderie and inspiration at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14.

NYSTI's Educator Night will include a performance of "Miracle on 34th Street," plus a reception with information about educational theater opportunities. NYSTI staff will share the ways educational theater can meet state learning standards and ignite your curriculum.

Many members of NYSTI staff are members of United University Professions, the NYSUT affiliate representing State University of New York professional faculty and staff.

Participants receive four hours of in-service credit through the Greater Capital Region Teacher Center. Educator Night will be held at the Schacht Fine Arts Building, Russell Sage Campus in Troy. For details, call (518) 274-3485 or 3286, or e-mail cbs@nysti.org.
