The New York State Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages recently recognized a number of educators for their work. Lydon award; NYSUT Vice President Maria Neira, who was recognized for her contributions to the TESOL profession and advocacy of English language acquisition; and Caryn Bachar of the Hewlett-Woodmere Faculty Association and Andrea Honigsfeld of Molloy College, who both received outstanding teacher awards.
