A free breakfast conference on Italian people and culture to be held Sept. 21 at Hofstra University in Nassau County will offer teachers the opportunity to receive educational information, posters and teaching aids.
Teachers from any grade level can take part in the two-hour conference, which will begin at 9:30 a.m. The Commission for Social Justice, a New York branch of the national, not-for-profit Order Sons of Italy in America, is sponsoring the event. (Check out www.nyscsj-osia.org.) Information will be provided on Italian explorers, writers, scientists, composers, mathemeticians, sports figures and successful Italian women.
