NYSUT Secretary Treasurer Lee Cutler spoke with WKTV/NBC Utica television reporter Pat Bailey about concerns over education funding, and the state legislature’s failure to appropriate money New York state received through the federal Education Jobs Fund.
"The fact that our state legislature will not come back to appropriate the funds....the funds that are there....to save jobs and provide programs for our children is just, I can't even find the adjective it is so inexcusable," he said.
Cutler was in Syracuse to greet NYSUT members at the opening day of the New York State Fair.
