Kevin Jennings, Assistant Deputy Secretary of Education, Office of Safe and Drug-Free Schools, is the keynote speaker at the 11th Northeast United States Conference on Character Education of The Academy for Character Education, Nov. 4 on the Albany campus of The Sage Colleges.

The conference theme is "Addressing Bullying, Harassment and Academic Failure: Sharing Best Practice Strategies That Work."

The conference includes breakout sessions that provide hands-on materials that can be applied to the classroom. To enable more educators to attend, the registration fee has been lowered to $99. The Academy is also attempting to have some scholarship funds available.
