About the conference
Greetings! We're gearing up for the second annual NYSUT United Journalism Conference and have several interesting and informative workshops planned, from editing to photography to page design and tips for new editors. Of special note is a workshop on Messaging in Difficult Times, and a general session on Using the Power of Social Media. And, of course, the highlight of the day is the awards celebration and luncheon.
We hope you can join us for this exciting program!
Registration
Online registration is now available. Please look over the tentative program and decide which workshops you would like to attend. A hot breakfast and buffet lunch will be served. The cost for the whole day is $45. If you would like to bring a guest, the cost for the awards luncheon only (12:30-2:30 p.m.) is $25.
The deadline for reservations is Tuesday, May 31.
Housing
If you plan to stay overnight before or after the Journalism Conference, you may call The Desmond and ask for the special NYSUT rate of $129 + tax. You must mention "NYSUT" when you make the reservation in order to get our special price.

Comments and Samples
The judges comments and copies of award winning articles and newsletters will be posted by Thursday, May 12. We will send an e-blast to everyone to let them know when the comments are finalized.
