A Personalized Approach to PD
Although every teacher might have different Professional Development needs, all PD should be aligned to the core competencies, goals and teaching standards of the district.
NYSUT ELT is proud to announce the launch of its new online professional development seminars which promote and support the components of the NYSUT Teacher Rubric as well as Charlotte Danielson’s Framework for Teaching in terms of what highly effective teachers should know and be able to do.
These online, PD seminars provide:
- Evidence-based research
- Practical classroom examples
- Opportunities for practice
- Formative and summative assessments
- Additional tools and resources designed to improve teacher practice
Each online seminar is fully facilitated by a qualified and experienced instructor who supports the individual teacher during the professional learning. The courses explore effective teaching principles and promote student achievement. Participants can work at their own pace and have ample amount of time to complete their work:
5-8 Hour Seminars - 30 days
10 Hour Seminars - 45 days
15 Hour Seminars - 90 days
Each seminar is $15 per hour.
