New York State K-12 Social Studies Field Guide now available

The New York State K-12 Social Studies Field Guide is now available via the State Education Department at this link:

With the implementation of the NYS K-12 Social Studies Framework, the field guide provides information for teachers and districts to make local curriculum decisions in Social Studies. The guide explains the shifts in Social Studies instructional practices and includes a sample unit. The unit is not intended to be a prescriptive model or required for classroom use.

The field guide also incorporates the College, Career, and Civics (C3) Framework published by the National Council for the Social Studies.
