We have proudly partnered with the American Heart Association for more than 40 years in various ways, including our annual support of the Go Red for Women Luncheon and the Capital Region Heart Walk. This year, NYSUT President Karen E. Magee has taken our commitment a step further, as chair of the Heart Walk.
Heart disease is the nation’s number one killer—especially for women. We’re putting our whole hearts into fighting this deadly disease by promoting healthier lifestyles, raising awareness and supporting fundraisers that make the Associations’ work possible.
One vote per day, per device. Voting ends noon, Monday, Dec. 14 The top 10 nonprofits, by your votes, will each win $10,000 in free advertising from the Times Union. Winners will be announced online and in the paper on Dec. 16.
