The American Federation of Teachers urges NYSUT members to contribute to the national affiliate’s disaster relief fund for members in need and their families. “We started the Disaster Relief Fund after Hurricane Katrina and have since helped members affected by Superstorm Sandy and by tornadoes in Oklahoma and Illinois,” said AFT President Randi Weingarten.
