Today is NYSUT’s Higher Education Lobby Day, which means hundreds of “volunteer lobbyists” from United University Professions (SUNY), Professional Staff Congress (CUNY) and local unions representing community college faculty and staff are at the Capitol in Albany on behalf of public higher ed.
But you don't have to be in Albany to show your support for public higher education.
Here are 4 ways you can take action from the comfort of your computer or your mobile phone.
1. Download, personalize and share a poster.
- Download the poster. (A SUNY version and a CUNY version are included in the PDF.)
- Fill out why you are SUNY or CUNY proud
- Take a selfie while holding your poster
- Upload to social media using the hashtags #InvestInFutures #InvestInSUNY #InvestInCUNY
- Tag the following: @NYSUT @UUPInfo @PSC_CUNY
2. Take action at the MAC.
Contact your state representatives at the Member Action Center.
3. Change your profile pic.
Download the #InvestInFutures profile pic and cover photo.
