It's an honor

Patricia Madigan, North Syracuse Education Association; and Peggy Paragoris and Vanessa Vidalon, Freeport TA, were among 50 science, technology, engineering and mathematics educators nationwide selected as 2012 Siemens STEM Academy Fellows. The educators spent a professional development week this summer at the Siemens STEM Institute near Washington, D.C., learning hands-on techniques for integrating STEM into the classroom. Elizabeth Platt, Kimberly Christian and Lillian Vitalo, all of the Smithtown TA, along with Brentwood TA member Adrienne Davis completed the ECO Classroom course, a professional development program set in Costa Rica for U.S. public school science teachers.
