Join the thousands of NYSUT members this fall who will show their support for breast cancer patients and survivors during the annual Making Strides for Breast Cancer walks.

"Every year, NYSUT members demonstrate their unwavering commitment and generosity for such a worthy cause," said NYSUT Vice President Maria Neira. "Donna Bacon's story is just one reason among many that shows why it is important to support efforts to find a cure for breast cancer, and for all cancers."

On average, more than 14,125 people in New York state, mostly women, are diagnosed with breast cancer each year, according to the New York State Health Department.

In the last decade, NYSUT members have raised more than $10 million for the American Cancer Society's campaign for research and awareness — more than any other organization or corporation in the country.
