Summer writing workshops are available for students
Is there a student in your class with a passion for writing?
The New York State Writers Institute, located at University at Albany, announces its 16th annual summer writing program for high school students.
The 10-day residential New York State Summer Young Writers Institute takes place July 2-12. Submission of the online application and supporting materials is required by April 1. Full and partial financial aid rewards are available to qualified students based on need.
The creative writing workshop, being held at Skidmore College in Saratoga, offers classes in fiction, nonfiction and poetry, as well as one-on-one editing. Go to www.skidmore.edu/youngwriters/ to apply.
