The Northeast Area Consumer Price Index for August 2013 was 249.858 — representing a change of 1.5 percent over the index for August 2012.
The New York-Northern New Jersey Area Consumer Price Index for August 2013 was 257.659 — representing a change of 1.7 percent over the index for August 2012.
The September CPI will be available October 16, 2013.
Future projections of the CPI by businesses and economic organizations are found on page 3. CPI increases are projected at 1.6 percent for 2013 and 1.9 percent for 2014.
