The Northeast Area Consumer Price Index for December 2013 was 249.567 — representing a change of 1.3 percent over the index for December 2012.
The New York-Northern New Jersey Area Consumer Price Index for December 2013 was 257.284 — representing a change of 1.5 percent over the index for December 2012.
The January CPI will be available February 20, 2014.
Future projections of the CPI by businesses and economic organizations are found on page 3. CPI increases are projected at 1.6 percent for 2014 and 2.0 percent for 2015.
