The Northeast Area Consumer Price Index for August 2014 was 253.185 — representing a change of 1.3 percent over the index for August 2013.
The New York-Northern New Jersey Area Consumer Price Index for August 2014 was 261.075 — representing a change of 1.3 percent over the index for August 2013.
The September CPI will be available October 22, 2014.
Future projections of the CPI by businesses and economic organizations are found on page 3. CPI increases are projected at 1.9 percent for 2014 and 2.1 percent for 2015.
