Heavy, seemingly unrelenting rain has brought death and devastation to the state's Mohawk Valley, Southern Tier and parts of Northern New York again, prompting another request for donations to NYSUT's Disaster Relief and Scholarship Fund.
Broome, Chenango, Clinton, Delaware, Essex, Franklin, Herkimer, Madison, Montgomery, Oneida, Otsego, Tioga, Schoharie, St. Lawrence and Warren counties are under states of emergency due to flooding.
Many NYSUT members and their neighbors — some still rebuilding their lives following the disaster wrought by Tropical Storms Lee and Irene — have been hit hard again. They need the help of their union sisters and brothers.
The NYSUT Disaster Relief Fund depends on voluntary donations. Please send a check or make online donations using PayPal. NYSUT assumes 100 percent of the administrative costs associated with the NYSUT Disaster Relief Fund.
Please be generous and donate to the disaster relief fund.
