Consumer Price Index - February 2016

The United States City Average Consumer Price Index (CPI-U) for February 2016 was 237.111 representing a change of 1.0 percent over the index for February 2015.

The Northeast Area Consumer Price Index for February 2016 was 252.250 — representing a change of 0.7 percent over the index for February 2015.

The New York-Northern New Jersey Area Consumer Price Index for February 2016 was 260.875— representing a change of 0.6 percent over the index for February 2015.

The March CPI will be available April 14, 2016.

CPI increases are projected at 1.3 percent for 2016 and 2.3 percent for 2017.
