NYSUT members walked with their brothers and sisters from their families, schools, communities and other unions from Sept. 30 to Oct. 28, adding another color to fall foliage as pink stretched eastward from Jamestown to Jones Beach.

The dozens of walks were organized by Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. NYSUT, a statewide flagship sponsor, pledged to raise $1 million to fight the disease. Watch New York Teacher for more information on efforts to fund research and life-saving mammograms and to increase awareness of efforts to fight the disease.
