As the school year draws to an end, we hope it has been a successful year for you and your students. The Executive Board of the AFT / NYS Latino Caucus would like to extend a heartfelt "thanks" for all the work you do for the young minds of New York State.
The AFT/NYS Latino Caucus is an educational caucus made up of New York City and State educators that advocates for excellence in education and opportunities for students, especially those of Latino/Hispanic heritage.
Enclosed you will find an application for our AFT/NYS Latino Caucus 2006-2007 Scholarships. Please duplicate and distribute to eligible students in your school. The application postmark deadline is Friday, May 18, 2007. We look forward to a big response and to continue working with you in the name of providing educational opportunities for the students of New York State.
