UPDATE - Grades 3-8 tests: SED revises schedule changes

UPDATE 8/26/2011:

Documents and links below reflect a revised schedule for elementary and intermediate testing for 2011-2012 issued by the New York State Education Department (SED).

The Grades 3-8 ELA assessment will now be administered Tuesday and Wednesday, April 17-18, 2012 instead of Monday and Tuesday, April 16-17, 2012, as previously stated by SED.

Additional information on January Regents was also provided in the revised letter to Superintendents. According to SED:

“The following Regents exams will be offered next January: Comprehensive English; Living Environment; Physical Setting/Earth Science; U.S. History & Government; Geometry; Global History & Geography; Algebra 2/Trigonometry; Integrated Algebra; Physical Setting/ Chemistry; Physical Setting/Physics; Regents Competency Tests (RCT).”


The State Education Department has released the Grades 3-8 Elementary and Intermediate level testing schedule. It can be found online at the SED website and is also attached as a PDF.

There are two major changes to the testing schedule for the 2011-2012 school year.

The first is the Grades 3-8 ELA and mathematics assessments will be given in April, 2012.

The second change is the establishment of uniform testing dates for these assessments.
