Public Broadcasting Service television stations across the nation are taking part in an "American Graduate Project" to focus on the issue of the dropout crisis and its impact on our communities.
The Albany PBS station - WMHT - is part of the nationwide initiative and enlisted NYSUT to help plan and promote a panel discussion that brought stakeholders together to share resources, best practices and stories of challenges and successes. Among the participants was Cathy Corbo, president of the Albany Public Schools Teachers Association, a NYSUT local.
The American Graduate Project is funded by PBS, National Public Radio and the National Center for Media Engagement.
