Winners announced for NYSUT Journalism Competition

Congratulations are in order for the winners of the 2012 NYSUT Journalism Competition.
The annual competition includes categories for both retirees and in-service communications and writing efforts. Two special awards also are given: The Ted Bleecker "Best of the Best" Award for most outstanding publication overall, and the Solidarity Award for the entry that best informs members about how state issues affect local concerns.
This year's Best of the Best award went to VC Echoes of the Valley Central Teachers' Association. Solidarity Awards went to Between Assignments of the Beacon Teachers Association and The Educator of the Arlington Teachers’ Association.
