About Cambridge Credit Counseling
The NYSUT Member Benefits Corporation-endorsed Cambridge Credit Counseling program helps NYSUT members understand their student loan repayment options and make informed decisions about managing their education debt. Cambridge's nationally-certified counselors provide personalized, one-on-one guidance to help members evaluate available programs and develop a repayment strategy that aligns with their financial goals.

NYSUT members are eligible to receive free, confidential student loan counseling and repayment assistance through Cambridge. Cambridge counselors can help members understand loan forgiveness opportunities, income-driven repayment plans, consolidation options, and other borrowing and repayment strategies. They also provide guidance regarding annual repayment plan recertification requirements and repayment-related paperwork. Services are provided at no cost to NYSUT members.

In addition to student loan counseling, Cambridge offers counseling and educational services related to personal debt management, homeownership, foreclosure prevention, reverse mortgages, and bankruptcy counseling.

Enhanced Student Loan Support at No Cost NYSUT members can also receive other student loan counseling and repayment assistance services through Cambridge Credit Counseling to help them navigate student loan repayment options.

Available services include:

• One-on-one counseling to review available federal repayment and forgiveness programs
• Guidance for those preparing repayment plan paperwork
• Personalized support throughout the repayment plan selection and enrollment process

These services are now available to NYSUT members free of charge as part of our endorsed Cambridge Credit Counseling program.
