The Northeast Area Consumer Price Index for July 2014 was 253.833 — representing a change of 1.8 percent over the index for July 2013.
The New York-Northern New Jersey Area Consumer Price Index for July 2014 was 261.498 — representing a change of 1.6 percent over the index for July 2013.
The August CPI will be available September 17, 2014.
Future projections of the CPI by businesses and economic organizations are found on page 3. CPI increases are projected at 2.0 percent for 2014 and 2.1 percent for 2015.
