Consumer Price Index - January 2015

The United States City Average Consumer Price Index (CPI-U) for January 2015 was 233.707 representing a change of -.01 percent over the index for January 2014.

The Northeast Area Consumer Price Index for January 2015 was  — representing a change of -0.4 percent over the index for January 2014.

The New York-Northern New Jersey Area Consumer Price Index for January 2015 was 258.376 — representing a change of -0.5 percent over the index for January 2014.

The February CPI will be available March 24, 2015.

Future projections of the CPI by businesses and economic organizations are found on page 3. CPI increases are projected at 0.4 percent for 2015 and 2.3 percent for 2016.
