Over the last 11 years, NYSUT has raised almost $10 million for the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer campaign - more than any corporate sponsor in the country. "The dedication of our members to raising money for the American Cancer Society in their pursuit to find a cure for breast cancer is truly amazing," said NYSUT Vice President Maria Neira. "Just as important is their commitment to the educational mission of the ACS. NYSUT members know that education and prevention are linked."
