Members of Color Affinity and Action (MOCAA)

Members of Color Network

Thanks to all who joined us for the NYSUT Members of Color Affinity and Action Project’s inaugural meeting via Zoom featuring award-winning actress Sheryl Lee Ralph.

We are now accepting applications for the NYSUT Pathways to Leadership, a project to support NYSUT BIPOC members who strive to own their power and strengthen their skills to take on leadership roles within their union, workplace, or community. Throughout the year, participants will learn new skills, create community and experience mentorship to achieve their personal leadership goals. LEARN MORE AND APPLY.

About the NYSUT MoCAA Project

The NYSUT MoCAA Project is an intentional organizing effort to connect and engage with members of color and those allies who recognize the value of diversity. Through targeted conversations and ongoing advocacy and educational opportunities, we seek to strengthen the statewide union by reflecting the rich diversity of our membership.
