Renee Gestone-Setteducato
If you're looking for Renee Setteducato, you can always find her out front. As this year's Health Care Professionals Member of the Year, she's known for being a longtime champion of working rights for nurses. Setteducato is chapter leader of the United Federation of Teachers' 600-member unit at Lutheran Medical Center, where she has logged nearly 35 years as a registered nurse. Most of here career has been in the ER, where she says, "In an instant, you see life and death." She is also a member of NYSUT's Health Care Professionals Council, the UFT executive board and the AFT Leadership Council.
