This is your chance to share your experiences - positive or negative - on the state's second year of the grade 3-8 mathematics assessment. How did the test impact you and your students? NYSUT wants your comments about the test itself, accompanying materials, administration and scoring.

The informal survey will only take a few minutes to complete and is open to anyone involved with test preparation, administration and scoring.  And you can be sure we'll pass your comments on to the policymakers in the State Education Department.

"We'd like to hear from as many educators as possible, with broad representation geographically and across grade levels, regarding the impact of these tests on teachers and students," said NYSUT Vice President Maria Neira. "Our members are on the front lines of this massive testing effort." Neira added that nearly 700 members responded to a similar survey on the English language arts assessment given in January.

This is the second year of the grade 3-8 testing required of the state under the federal No Child Left Behind Act.
